Infomineo, an innovative Moroccan-based Brainshoring Research company, hosted its 2nd Edition Research Case Competition on campus where 36 seniors and graduate students from all 3 Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI) schools were pre-selected to compete on a real-life project. The Office of Employability hosted the event because Infomineo is a major employer of AUI graduates and seeks profiles from all 3 schools.
Deborah Bartlett, Chief Employability Officer, explained "During the weekend, AUI students competed in a unique simulation of working on a client project... imagine, being able to "try out" a career one weekend! I wish for all our students to experience a "Day in the Life of a Researcher".
El Mehdi El Asli, SBA-Finance Senior, said "this weekend was different than anything I've done. The stress of delivering a client project in a day was really fun and our Infomineo Mentor was very helpful so we felt like part of a real-world team, not a class assignment."
The competition was unique because Infomineo brought 9 mentors and judges to work alongside students for 48 hours, simulating the real-life work environment of a research analyst. The Infomineo judge Hind Adjar, said "Our team was impressed with all students because they demonstrated strong research skills, professionalism an outstanding inquisitive attitudes critical for careers in research."
