Al Akhawayn University is proud to welcome Dr. Samer K. Al Kork as Dean of the School of Science and Engineering.
With over 20 years of international experience across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, Dr. Al Kork brings a proven record of academic leadership, innovation in robotics and engineering education, and a strong commitment to student success and engagement. His research spans artificial intelligence, biomechanics, and wearable technology, while his leadership has focused on building student-centered academic environments and strengthening institutional effectiveness through evidence-based planning, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to measurable institutional growth, from developing new curricula and advancing ABET accreditation to strengthening student experiences, expanding research and industry engagement, and achieving significant gains in research output and global rankings.
As SSE enters its next chapter, we are confident that his leadership will help advance student success, academic excellence, innovation, engagement, and institutional impact across the School and the wider AUI community.
