Ifrane, June 2025 — In alignment with its mission to promote academic excellence and regional collaboration, Al Akhawayn University (AUI) is proud to participate in the implementation of the Second Regional Scientific Research Award launched by the Council of the Fès-Meknès Region. The initiative aims to recognize and reward outstanding scientific contributions from faculty, doctoral graduates, and innovators across Moroccan institutions.
Under a formal agreement with the regional authorities, AUI has been entrusted with the coordination and logistical management of this prestigious award. The University will lead promotional efforts, manage candidate submissions, and support the jury process, ensuring the project’s alignment with international standards of academic integrity and excellence.
The Regional Scientific Research Award seeks to celebrate academic and scientific excellence across Moroccan universities, public and private research institutions, and centers of innovation. It is open to faculty members, researchers, and PhD graduates whose work contributes significantly to the advancement of knowledge and societal development.

Eligible applicants include:
University professors and researchers from both public and private Moroccan institutions
Doctoral graduates who have defended their thesis since 2022
Innovators with registered patents or intellectual property
Applicants are required to submit:
A completed application form
Curriculum Vitae
A summary of the submitted work (publication, thesis, or innovation)
Supporting documents and evidence (printed and digital formats)
A letter of recommendation or endorsement
A USB drive containing digital copies of all materials

A selection committee composed of academic experts will evaluate all submissions based on scientific merit, innovation, and societal impact.
