AUI's Sustainability Club Won the 2022 PRME Global Students’ Sustainability Awards. The PRME Global Students Sustainability Awards - Africa is an annual recognition of impactful student-led initiatives that align with the PRME Principles and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This was achieved thanks to the outstanding work that was accomplished by the sustainability club, a series of activities including a very rich sustainability international week, a series of speakers, presentations, workshops, stands, and educational trips; all with the goal to promote sustainability in our campus and its surroundings. Students who made it happen include board members and student volunteers: Youssef Bouhaja, Badre Eddine Hajjaj, Carisa Vilella, Fatima Zohra Belhadj, Loubna El Hafidi, Imane Chtaini, Hiba Draoui.
The Awards' central objective is to recognize students’ leadership in the realm of responsible management education and sustainable development whilst promoting continued engagement with PGS. This year’s edition featured a single comprehensive category of awards:
Award for an African student organization from a PRME signatory member school that has demonstrated, throughout the year, a solid commitment to protecting the natural environment, social and economic development, and promotion of good governance and responsible management.
