Buzz of excitement filled the air at Al Akhawayn University (AUI) on May 31st and June 1st as AUI proudly hosted AUROBAT 2024, the fourth edition of the Moroccan Robotics Competition. This annual event, co-organized by CITI Association, ATDTec, and the AUI Mechatronics Club, witnessed the participation of 30 enthusiastic teams from all over Morocco, ranging from middle schools to universities.

The competition challenged these young minds to design and build small, ladybug-inspired robots capable of completing a set of predefined tasks. The atmosphere crackled with innovation and determination as teams put their creations to the test. With a total cash prize pool of 32,000 MAD, the stakes were high, but the true reward lay in the thrill of competition, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The success of AUROBAT 2024 wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of sponsors including the HPS Foundation, HPS, CIH Bank, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Science & Engineering. Their contribution not only fueled the competition but also showcased the growing importance of robotics education in Morocco. This year's AUROBAT served as a testament to the passion for STEM fields among Moroccan youth, fostering a spirit of creativity and innovation that promises a bright future for the nation's technological advancements.
