This lecture, conducted in French, offers a unique opportunity to gain insights from Pr Nouzha Chekrouni, a distinguished Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South.

About the Speaker:
Pr Chekrouni has served as His Majesty’s Ambassador to Canada (2009–2016) and as Dean of the Council of Arab League Ambassadors to Canada (2015–2016). She was also the Minister for the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (2002–2007), a Member of Parliament (2002–2007), and the Minister for Women and Social Issues (1998–2002).

Her academic accomplishments include a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Fez, a Post-Graduate Diploma, and a PhD in Linguistics from the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. She has also completed a Certificate in Ethics and International Relations at Harvard University and was named a Senior Fellow in Advanced Leadership at Harvard in 2016.

Currently, Dr. Chekrouni is a member of the Arab and Moroccan Network of Women Mediators for the UN Agenda "Women, Peace and Security", and she has taught linguistics at the University of Meknes.
