Written by AUI | Feb 9, 2024 9:04:50 AM

The Soil & Water Assessment Tool is a small watershed to river basin-scale model used to simulate the quality and quantity of surface and ground water and predict the environmental impact of land use, land management practices, and climate change. SWAT is widely used in assessing soil erosion prevention and control, non-point source pollution control and regional management in watersheds.

Al Akhawayn University is organizing an International Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) Conference and Workshops in collaboration with the USDA-ARS and Texas A&M AgriLife Research. The conference has become the most important scientific gathering for international experts and institutions in the field of river basin management.

An International SWAT Conference & Workshops will be held 4-8 March 2024 at Al Akhawayn University, in Ifrane
