On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, commemorated every year on November 14th, the Azrou Community Development Center organized a medical diabetes campaign on November 28, 2024, in collaboration with the Network of Health Establishments Service (SRES) under the Provincial Health and Social Protection Delegation of Ifrane. The theme of the campaign was “Diabetes and Well-being”
The goal was not only to focus on diabetes care and treatment but also to raise awareness about the impact of diabetes on individuals' health and highlight opportunities to strengthen diabetes prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
A doctor and two facilitators led this socio-medical initiative, achieving the following outcomes:
- Awareness sessions on diabetes: 154 participants (men and women)
- Diabetes screening: 122 individuals
