SHSS - Design

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco seeks qualified applicants for a full-time position in Design for fall 2023. Candidates specializing in the fields of Information Design, Experiential Design, Interaction Design (IxD), User Experience Design (UX) or User Interface Design (UI) are especially encouraged to apply. Experience teaching courses in Human-Centered Design Thinking are a plus. Depending on credentials and experience, appointments will be at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Design. Evidence of a scholarly research agenda and willingness to participate in faculty service to SHSS and to the University are expected. As AUI is a liberal arts institution, students come from a variety of disciplines and majors across the University.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview on Microsoft Teams and may be invited to offer a 30- minute demonstration class pending results of the initial interview. The successful candidate will be expected to assume this position on 21 August 2023.
