I have broad experience in teaching English language skills, as well as coordinating Academic and Business English Programs. My utmost goal as an educator is to create an engaging learning environment where my students can learn through active participation, collaboration, and reflection. While my current mission as an English language faculty is to equip freshman students with the basic English language skills, I believe that my role transcends the classroom by stretching my students’ potential and helping them become long-life learners and critical thinkers. My specific research interest deals with the effect of formative assessment on student learning and metacognition. My other interests center around sociocultural and constructive learning theories, inclusive teaching, and innovative pedagogies in higher education.
