Dr. Ibtissama Sebti received her MA in Applied Linguistics and EFL from the University of York, UK and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Communication from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Morocco. She served at Abdelmalek Essaadi University as a linguistics professor for 8 years. In 2000, she joined Al AKhawayn University, where she is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, specializing in foundations of liberal arts, critical thinking, and study skills. In her teaching, Dr. Sebti is guided mostly by the learner-centred approach and is committed to contributing to the academic success of students by fostering their metacognitive abilities and lifelong learning skills. Her specific research interests center around assessment, active learning, inclusive teaching, and innovative pedagogies in higher education.
