In a testament to the interdisciplinary ethos of Al Akhawayn University (AUI), a collaborative effort between philosophy faculty and computer science students has culminated in the publication of a scholarly chapter in the book Violence, Conspiracies, and New Religions (Equinox Publishing). The volume pays tribute to the late Professor Jim Lewis, a trailblazer in the field of New Religions Studies, and examines the intersection of violence, conspiracy theories, and emerging religious movements.
The chapter was co-authored by Dr. Stefano Bigliardi, Associate Professor of Philosophy at AUI, and five students from the School of Science and Engineering (SSE): Abdelmojib Chouhbi, Mohamed Amine Ghafil, Danya Tazi Mokha, Amine Nakari, and Salma Zahidi. This collaboration bridges the gap between the humanities and the sciences, showcasing AUI’s commitment to fostering intellectual synergy across disciplines.
