Abdelhamid Hamidi Alaoui

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a PhD in computational mathematics with applications to weather forecasting and more specifically in wind field analysis, Dr. Alaoui worked in the financial industry in both Connecticut and the Chicago area for Hewitt Associates, now AON-Hewitt, in risk management. In 2011, Abdelhamid joined AUI as an Assistant Professor of Finance, where he has served as Interim Dean for the School of Business Administration for one academic year and as Academic Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs. His research interests revolve around financial markets and he has supervised several MBA theses in both the full-time and the part-time programs with topics in, but not limited to, risk management, portfolio management, applications of stochastic processes, forecasting price movements, and developing and testing trading strategies.
