Dr. Aziz El Hassani is an EFL Lecturer at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. He earned his Ph.D. in Language, Literature & Communication from Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University in 2020 and a Master’s degree from the University of Malta in 2007. In 2018, he attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from which he received a professional certificate in Information Leadership in a Digital Age. He has extensive experience integrating digital literacy skills, ACRL information literacy competency standards, and technology into the learning experiences of students. Dr. El Hassani has published and co-published peer-reviewed papers and contributed book chapters in such publications as the Nordic Journal of Information Literacy in Higher Education, Routledge Taylor & Francis, and the Association of College & Research Libraries ACRL, in Chicago. His research interests include Information literacy education, ACRL Framework for information literacy for higher education, online teaching & learning, and digital information literacy competency standards in higher education. He is a certified digital instructor through the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) and Quality Matters (QM).
