Dr. Elias Erragragui

Elias Erragragui is an Associate Professor of Finance at the School of Business Administration at Al Akhawayn University. He holds a B.Eng. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Management from the University of Montpellier. Dr. Erragragui is a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional from INCEIF, Kuala Lumpur. He obtained a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Toulon and served as an Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor at Kedge Business School and the University of Picardie Jules Verne. He also worked as a Lecturer at the Ecole de Management Léonard de Vinci, Brest Business School and Université Catholique de Lille. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Erragragui worked as a financial analyst for an investment company and later as an analyst for an ESG rating agency. His research focuses on socially responsible investments, portfolio management, stock market efficiency, Islamic finance and banking, digital innovations in finance, and corporate finance. He has published several papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals such as Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, Finance Research Letters, International Management, and Research in International Business and Finance. He recently contributed to the textbook Ecological Money and Finance, which was awarded the Financial Times Best Responsible Business Education Award in 2024. He teaches courses related to financial markets and corporate finance.
