I received my PhD in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabanci University, Türkiye, where my research focused on monitoring and control of energy systems. I also hold an MSc and BSc in Electrical Engineering.
My research focuses on smart grids, power system monitoring and state estimation, artificial intelligence and machine learning for energy systems, energy management, renewable energy, power electronics, and control systems. I am particularly interested in combining conventional power system methods with AI and data-driven techniques to improve the monitoring, security, control, and operation of modern energy systems.
I have published 23 peer-reviewed journal papers and over 12 conference papers. I have also supervised master’s and PhD research, as well as undergraduate capstone projects, in power systems, AI, control, energy management, and related engineering areas.
