Fouad Mohammed Abbou received his “Ingenieur” Degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands in 1995. He obtained his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia in 2001. In November 2008, he joined Al-Madinah International University as Vice President for Research and Development, Dean of postgraduate Studies, and Professor in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. In September 2010, he joined the School of Science and Engineering at Al-Akhawayn University as a full professor. His research interests include optical transmission systems, optical networks, Quantum computing, security in all-optical networks, and grid integration of renewable energy systems. He has authored/co-authored more than 130 papers in international journals and conferences, as well as a book on Optical Transmission and Networks for Next Generation Internet Traffic Highways. Dr. Fouad is also a member of the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers, Netherlands.
