Dr. Hind Lebdaoui is an associate professor of finance and economics at the School of Business Administration (SBA) of Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, where she currently teaches finance courses to both graduate and undergraduate students. She served as the graduate programs academic coordinator at SBA and contributed to critical accreditation processes both at SBA and AUI (EFMD and NECHE). Dr. Lebdaoui received her master’s degree in international finance, then her Ph.D. in finance from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics in 2014 and joined its faculty to teach there for two years before joining AUI in 2016. Dr. Lebdaoui spent a decade in China, where she focused on the advancement of finance and economics both in China and developing countries through her professional experience in Chinese companies and academia. Her research focuses on Islamic banking, ethical finance and behavioral finance, economic growth, as well as banking marketing decision. She presented her work in different conferences in different parts of the globe. She also served as reviewer of many finance- and economics-related well-ranked journal. Dr. Lebdaoui is selected as one of the top 50 most influential women in the Islamic finance sector by Cambridge IFA WOMEN since 2018. She is also honorary advisor to the Think Tank Hong Kong Reflect in Hong Kong dedicated to youth leadership.
