Jacob Adrianus Wildschut

Jacob “Arian” Wildschut has taught at the AUI Language Center since 2014. He is interested in writing culturally appropriate teaching and testing materials and tailoring existing language programs to students’ needs. Prior to Morocco, he taught foundation programs at universities and technical colleges in the UK and the UAE (1997 – 2010), as well as Technical English for Architecture and the Built Environment in China (2010 – 2013). He was involved in educational development projects in Syria, Azerbaijan, and Nepal (1994 – 1997), with particular interest in rural education. Arian holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering (Nottingham University), an MA in Applied Linguistics (Canterbury Christ Church University), and a Teaching Certificate (RSA/International House London). He has traveled extensively in Asia and Africa, serving as a tutor, translator, and teaching in language centers, business, and art schools in Turkey, Scandinavia, Germany, and the UK. He is interested in non-formal education and in promoting diversity and inclusion.
