Dr. Youssef Chetioui is the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Research at Al Akhawayn University. He is also an Associate Professor of Marketing and Research Methods at the School of Business Administration (SBA) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. Throughout his career, Dr. Chetioui has held several leadership roles, including Undergraduate Programs Coordinator, Graduate Programs Coordinator, SBA Undergraduate Programs Advisor, and Chair of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Committee. He also co-led the successful EFMD reaccreditation of the BBA program, which was awarded a 5-year reaccreditation in March 2022.

Before joining Al Akhawayn University, Dr. Chetioui gained valuable corporate experience as a strategy consultant and has offered courses at several Moroccan and French undergraduate and graduate programs. He has also served as a research fellow at the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) at Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, and as a visiting professor at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield, United Kingdom. Additionally, he worked as a co-researcher on a large-scale international research and innovation program sponsored by the European Commission.

Dr. Chetioui has presented more than a dozen papers at international conferences and published over 40 papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, including the International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Young Consumers, British Food Journal, Journal of Global Marketing, International journal of social economics, and Journal of Islamic Marketing. He has also received multiple best paper/research awards in Morocco, China, Turkey, and Georgia.

Dr. Chetioui holds an MBA from Al Akhawayn University and a PhD in Customer Relationship Management from ENCG-Settat, where he was honored with the Best PhD Thesis Award for the 2017-2018 academic year. He is currently in the final year of his PhD in Digital Transformation and Sustainability at the University of Salento in Lecce, Italy. His research primarily focuses on applying empirical quantitative methods to gain insights into consumer behavior and purchasing patterns.
