Mr. El Awad has completed both his “Classes préparatoires Maths-sup Maths-spé” and his engineering degree in Paris. He started his professional career as an entrepreneur in the IT industry then joined the Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) Group in 1998, where he’s held several positions including IT, logistics, finance, communication and human resources. His last position at BCP was Deputy General Director (Directeur Général Adjoint) of the Group and board member of subsidiary companies. Throughout his rich career, Mr. Ali El Awad has successfully led infrastructure, administrative restructuring, and development projects to serve both the performance and the people.
Ali's priorities at AUI focus on strengthening its administrative capacity, systems and rigor, with the goal of continuing to improve the quality of service to our community and supporting the administrative, legal and strategic responsibilities of our institution. He oversees the Administrative & Legal Department, the Security & Safety Department, the Procurement & Infrastructure Development Department, and the Grounds & Maintenance Department.
