Select AUI students studying Managerial Accounting (ACC2302) recently participated in a 4 week online CESIM business simulation (https://www.cesim.com/) game. The game took place over 8 rounds at the end of the Spring 2026 semester and the game coordinator was the International Business School Maastricht of the Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

AUI students were placed in international teams comprised of students from 16 universities based in North and South America, Europe, Africa (North and Sub-Sahara) and Asia.

The game had multiple aims:
- expose students to business decision making for a fictional international manufacturing company,
- use AI tools to aid their analysis
- colloborate online in multicultural teams with students from across the world, managing time zone and communication issues.

AUI students distinguished themselves with active participation and 5 AUI students were in teams that finished in the top 3 of their universe: Adam Allali, Imane Chahbi, Mehdi Mouzzi, Nour El Houda Farih, Zineb Ichou.

Furthermore, two AUI students, Kenza Bidaoui and Meriem Alahyane, were key members of the 4-person team that won the whole business simulation, a praise-worthy achievement.

Many thanks and congratulations to the AUI students who actively participated in this event during the busy period at the end of the semester.
