Claudine Moïse, PhD, is Program Chair and a pioneering designer of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Al Akhawayn University in the Atlas Mountains region of Morocco, where she led the development and graduation of the University’s first cohort of psychology majors in 2025. Her work integrates culturally grounded, decolonial, and evidence-based approaches to psychological education, research, and practice, with special attention to African/Islamic psychological frameworks, institutional wellbeing, and community-engaged learning. She is pioneering international partnerships related to sports, wellness, and performance enhancement. Dr. Moïse’s scholarly and clinical professional work includes psychological and forensic assessment, therapy and therapeutic services, trauma-related and personality-based disorders, cultural identity development, and the translation of psychological science into applied, culturally relevant and sensitive, real-world settings. She is actively engaged in building international academic partnerships, student professional pipelines, and experiential learning initiatives that connect higher education to the mental health workforce and broader social impact.
