Houda Boukham

Houda Boukham is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Al Akhawayn University. She holds a software engineering degree and a PhD in Computer Science from l’Ecole Mohammadia d’Ingénieurs in Rabat, with a full PhD fellowship from Oracle Labs. She worked as a visiting researcher at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and as a postdoctoral researcher between the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. She has over six years of industry research experience working as a software language engineer at Oracle Labs. Her research interests center on programming languages, compilers, type theory, graph analytics, relational databases, and digital humanities. She volunteers as a committee member and mentor with SIGPLAN-M, an international and cross-institutional mentorship program aimed at (current and aspiring) researchers in programming languages; and as a teacher with WildFlower, a non-profit organization providing Afghan women with access to online education. She enjoys literature, translation, illustration, and linguistics.
