Dr. Jawad Abrache holds a B.Eng. in Computer Science from ENSIAS (1995), an M.S. (1998), and a Ph.D. (2004) in Operations Research from the University of Montréal. Dr. Abrache was a Postdoctoral Researcher (2004-05) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Maryland at College Park. Dr. Abrache’s main research interests are combinatorial auction mechanism design and optimal trading in financial markets. He has publications in reputable Operations Research journals such as EJOR, Annals of Operations Research, Computers and OR, INFOR, and 4OR. Dr. Abrache has been SBA’s Undergraduate Coordinator from September 2007 to August 2011, SBA’s Dean from February 2016 to July 2017, Co-Chair of the NECHE Re-accreditation taskforce since October 2020, and Associate Vice President for Assessment and Accreditation since January 2022. He has also served in various SBA and AUI committees including: the Academic Council, Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Research, Peer-Evaluation, and Hiring.
