Karim Achibat

Karim Achibat is Assistant Professor in Rhetoric and Communication and Interim Director of the Language Center (LC) at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI).
Karim’s research interests include linguistics studies, learning theories, innovation in education, and communication. Karim is the author of ‘Political Communication in Morocco: Unveiling the Rhetoric of Election Campaigns’. He is currently responsible for the leadership and management of the Language Center. This involves oversight of the development and conduct of the English program, as well as other language offerings provided through the LC. Before coming to AUI, Karim was an adjunct professor at City College of New York and New York City College of Technology.
Karim Achibat earned a BA in Linguistics and Education at Qatar University, an MA in Language and Literacy at the City University of New York (CUNY), and a Ph.D. in Communication at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco.
