Dr. Malek Sarhani holds an M.Eng. and a PhD from the National School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis (ENSIAS), Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco in 2012 and 2018, respectively. In 2019, Dr. Sarhani was awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship provided by the German state. He worked for 2 years and 5 months as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg, Germany. His research interests include: data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, optimization, and forecasting. He has published several papers on the above topics. He is also interested in their application, mainly in logistics and transportation. He is particularly interested in the integration of these methods to build smart cities and improve the delivery of transportation services.
