Mohammed A. Obeidat

Dr. Obeidat has joined AUI in September 2026 as an Associate Professor of Mathematics. Before that he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at Yarmouk University. He received his PhD in Mathematics–Statistics from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014, following an MSc and BSc in Statistics from Yarmouk University, and has previously held appointments at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain. He teaches Calculus, Linear Algebra, probability theory, Bayesian statistics, multivariate statistics, reliability theory, and statistical computing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research centers on Bayesian inference, including time series of count data, stress–strength reliability, ranked set sampling, acceptance sampling plans, and measures of income inequality.
