Nabil Rhiati has been teaching mathematics at Al Akhawayn University since 2015, following earlier academic and professional experience in the United States. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Downtown and an M.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, where his graduate work focused on financial engineering.

His teaching spans calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, and mathematical modeling, with an emphasis on analytical thinking, mathematical maturity, and the connection between theory and applications. His research focuses on nonlinear dynamical systems, mathematical biology, stability theory, and optimal control, with particular interest in predator–prey and bioeconomic models. His current work also explores scientific machine learning, physics-informed neural networks, and learning-based approaches for the analysis, approximation, and control of nonlinear systems.
