Naziha Houki

Naziha Houki obtained her BA in Communication Studies from Al Akhawayn University in 2008. After working in advertising for 2 years, she was granted the Fulbright Scholarship for her MSc in Integrated Marketing Communication at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Before joining AUI as a strategic communication lecturer, Ms. Houki worked as a marketing consultant and category manager for publicly traded multinational organizations in logistics and retail. In 2015, Ms. Houki founded the Al Akhawayn Short Film Festival (ASFF), which has become a regional student competition, inviting internationally renowned Moroccan filmmakers, with significant national media exposure. From 2018 to 2020, Naziha Houki also co-chaired the No Violence Alliance and was the Interim Director of Development and Communication at the University. Her research interests include social media contagion of digital feminist activism and marketing communication. Today, Naziha is the School of Humanities and Social Sciences representative at the University Academic Council. She still enjoys teaching strategic communication courses and organizing the ASFF.
