Omar Iraqi Houssaini

Omar Iraqi is a computer science lecturer in the School of Science and Engineering at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, where he has been teaching various courses, including cybersecurity, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2003. He also served as IT Manager between 2005 and 2009, then as IT Director between 2009 and 2012 in the same university. He is Ingénieur d'Etat from EMI (Ecole Mohammadia d'Ingénieurs) in Rabat, earned an MSc in Computer Networks from Al Akhawayn University in 2003, and is defending his Ph.D. thesis in Computer Science at Mohammed V University in Rabat in 2022. His research interests include collaborative self-protecting software, unsupervised machine learning, and application-level intrusion detection. He holds several certifications including CISSP, CISA, and ISO 27000.
