Samir Aguenaou is Professor of Finance at the School of Business Administration. He received his DEA (MSc) in Industrial Economics from Paris Dauphine University in 1995 and an MBA from Al Akhawayn University in 1998. He was a Part-time Lecturer at the School of Management and Business of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, from where he received his PhD in 2007. Dr. Aguenaou acted as the chair of programs and innovation at the SBA from February 2019 to August 2020. He was also the Post Experience Graduate Programs Coordinator from August 2012 to August 2013 and the Industry Liaison Coordinator in the period July 2007-December 2011. He served also as the Undergraduate Program Coordinator from August 2000 to September 2002. In Summer 2011, Dr. Aguenaou was a Fulbright Research Scholar at Purdue University at Fort Wayne (PFW), USA. Additionally, he has held positions on several SBA and AUI committees, such as the Academic Council, Hiring, and Peer-Evaluation. Dr. Aguenaou teaches finance classes, and his field of interest is in financial intermediation and inclusion, microstructure of financial markets, emerging financial markets, and corporate governance.
