Her teaching philosophy focuses on promoting agentic engagement to build community and autonomous learning. Her research interests include AI education and edtech. Sara has an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from San Francisco State University, along with a BA in Anthropology and Linguistics from Sonoma State University. Though she first discovered Morocco as a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in the city of Sefrou, she has lived and worked in various locations throughout the country for over 14 years. In her free time, she travels and hikes with her family, and expresses creativity through writing short stories, painting, and occasionally jamming with a ukulele. Her favorite readings have themes of social justice, humor, science fiction, and magical realism. Sara currently teaches Rhetoric & Composition, and Voice, Power, & Public Speaking to first-year students. |
