The most vibrant campus, to give you the most.

Al Akhawayn University’s (AUI) School of Science and Engineering (SSE) is partnering with the AUI Executive Education Center in the latest delivery of its professional training program focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed especially for workforce upskilling. Professor Salah AL-Majeed, Dean of SSE, explains: “We are committed to ensuring that the benefits of AI extend far beyond the classroom, and our mission is fully focused on empowering our students and wider communities across Morocco and Africa.”

Bringing together academic rigor, hands-on learning, and industry relevance, this initiative is designed to equip professionals, managers, and aspiring leaders with the essential AI competencies shaping today’s digital economy. This program is also another important milestone within our African Engineering and Technology Network (Afretec) partnership, reinforcing our collective mission to advance digital transformation, build capacity, and expand access to the provision of future-ready skills across the continent. At SSE, we believe that universities must act as catalysts for societal progress, and AI upskilling is central to this responsibility. Utilising strategic collaborations like this, we are continuing to strengthen AUI’s role as a vital hub for innovation, community engagement, and human-centred technological leadership. We look forward to seeing the impact this program will generate for our learners and the broader ecosystem.
