The MORHEL Project, funded by the EU and led by Al Akhawayn University, aims to enhance leadership and management skills in Moroccan higher education institutions. This second edition, organized in partnership with key Moroccan and European universities, focuses on establishing a National Center and Satellite Hubs for leadership development.
The consortium involves the following higher education institutions: Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (Project Coordinator and Lead), the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, Moulay Ismail University, the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute Hassan II, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Chouaib Doukkali University, Hassan I University, Ibn Zohr University, Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, Ibn Tofail University, Sultan Moulay Slimane University, the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI, Slovenia), PEGASO University (Italy), University of Granada (Spain).
Under the guidance of Dr. Karim Moustaghfir, the Project Leader, this three-year endeavor marks a significant milestone for Al Akhawayn University as it coordinates a consortium of universities to drive impactful change in the education sector. Through the Certified Leadership Development Program (NLDP), 132 Moroccan HE leaders are set to benefit, with a projected expansion to 10 additional Moroccan HEIs in the years following the project.
