Frances Danielle Loustau-Williams is a full-time Assistant Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Akhawayn University. She holds a Ph.D. in Public and International Affairs (with a focus on Development Economics and International Development) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. Her doctoral research examined the relationship between migration and development in Morocco, using mixed methods including geographically weighted regression and a case study of rural urbanization in Guigou. Frances specializes in research methodologies, curriculum development, and topics like migration systems, economic change, and international development. She has presented on migration systems under shock, such as the Omicron-induced border closure in Morocco, at conferences like ASPA 2023. Her work builds on earlier studies, including the role of policy in international contexts, contributing to public and international affairs scholarship.
