Nick Lee

Dr. Nick Lee is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the School of Humanities & Social Science at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Curtin University in Australia in 2017. Dr. Lee is a dedicated researcher with a primary interest in the impact of mindfulness practices on one's sense of self, relatedness, empathy, and compassion, particularly within the autistic spectrum. His work explores the integration of traditional Buddhist philosophical models with empirically driven psychological approaches to foster a more holistic understanding of the human condition. Dr. Lee's research expertise also includes attention control, depression, and self-control. At Al Akhawayn University, he teaches a variety of courses, including "Cross-Cultural Psychology" and "Clinical Psychology," contributing to the diverse academic environment of the institution
