Richard Newman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Akhawayn University, where he teaches Creative Writing, World Literature, and Composition. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky (2004). He is the author of three books of poetry and one novel and has published numerous short stories, plays, poems, essays, and articles. He and his family have lived all over the world, including the United States, the Marshall Islands, Japan, and Vietnam.
